About

Join us every Second Saturday for Thrive @ MoAD, a free community day sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, with free admission to all exhibitions! Museums across the globe are increasingly recognized for their important role in promoting personal and social well-being.

Studies show that engaging with art and culture boosts brain function, supports trauma healing, and helps reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Don’t miss out—visit us for Thrive @ MoAD!

WALK-IN TICKETS ARE WELCOME AND AVAILABLE.

From 12-3 pm, join us for a family art activity led by teaching artist Nicole Dixon in the 1st Floor Lobby.

At 1 pm MoAD invites visitors to join us for a family-friendly tour of the exhibitions. Meet in the 1st Floor Lobby at 1:00 pm.

At 1pm, we will screen the documentary, The Green Book: Guide to Freedom.

At 2pm, join us for a discussion of the New York Times notable book Overground Railroad: The Green Book & the Roots of Black Travel in America. Author Candacy Taylor will be in conversation with Jacqueline Francis, Dean of Humanities at California College of the Arts. Learn more and register HERE.

Museum of the African Diaspora and Kaiser Permanente are committed to increasing access to the positive health outcomes of arts engagement and providing resources on overall well-being for our community.
